NorthCountry Homes is an independent regional housebuilder focused on creating affordable homes across Yorkshire and the North of England. Our aim is to provide high-quality, attainable housing that helps more people achieve home ownership, whilst delivering successful developments for our customers, partners and funding providers.

NorthCountry Homes occupies a niche market, specialising in low-cost starter homes for people on low incomes. We focus on delivering good quality homes at affordable price points, helping first-time buyers take their first step onto the property ladder. Even when the general housing market is depressed there is always a demand for starter homes when young people leave home or older people realise that there is little or no difference between rental payments and mortgage payments. Our typical price point is such that we can sell a significant proportion of our homes on each site to couples on the minimum wage.

Sites

All of our sites are located in areas where experience tells us that demand will be strong. Developments range in size from 18 plots to 250 plots, allowing us to deliver both smaller local schemes and larger strategic developments. We are always looking for suitable sites at the right price. Our technical team has extensive experience in tackling issues such as contamination, shallow mining, infrastructure constraints and limited services, helping unlock sites that others may overlook.

Funding

We maintain strong relationships with a number of established development finance providers and have a proven track record of working collaboratively with funders to deliver successful schemes. Whilst we enjoy excellent existing relationships, we are always happy to speak with additional proactive funding partners who share our long-term vision for growth
